Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva was the first Artist-in-Restaurant at Pied à Terre, Michelin-starred restaurant in London. Lux 1 is inspired by the installation work Witness of Virility which was made up of 80 sheep’s testicles, sourced from the restaurant’s kitchen. Each testicle is preserved and sculpted into beautiful ‘light bulbs’ and is influenced and informed by the restaurant’s daily routines, encased in Perspex box, presented on gold leafed wooden base with beautifully made brass fixings.
